A downloadable tool for Windows

WinControl 2 is a lightweight Windows utility that helps users efficiently organize and manage open application windows. Designed for productivity, it allows you to split or stack windows on a specific screen and includes a keep-awake feature to prevent the system from locking. It's a practical tool for business and corporate environments.

Features:

  1. Split or stack windows on a selected screen using the Up and Down buttons. Arrange up to 4 rows per screen and choose to ignore specific windows without closing them.

  2. Display real-time mouse pointer coordinates.

  3. Activate the keep-awake function by holding the Shift key and clicking the Info button. The button turns green when active. Repeat the action to turn it off.

  4. Terminate the selected application using the Kill button.

🔧 How to Install This App Safely

Because this app is not code-signed, Windows may show a warning when you try to run it. Don’t worry — the app is safe, and here’s how to proceed:

📦 Step-by-Step: Bypass the SmartScreen Warning

  1. Download the EXE and locate it in your Downloads folder

  2. Right-click the file → click "Properties"

  3. In the General tab, check the box that says:
âś… "Unblock" (if it appears), then click Apply

  4. Double-click the file to run it

  5. When you see this blue SmartScreen warning:

    “Windows protected your PC”

    Click “More Info”
    Then click “Run Anyway”

🧠 Why This Happens

This warning appears because the app isn't yet signed with a Microsoft-verified certificate. Signing certificates are expensive and usually used by large companies. As a small developer, I focus on keeping costs low to offer affordable pricing.

🛡️ Safety & Trust

  • This app does not install malware, ads, or background services

  • It was built entirely in VB.NET, uses standard Windows APIs, and does not access your personal files

  • If you have concerns, feel free to run it in a sandbox or virtual machine
